AQUA TOTS  is our second level of baby learn to swim generally for children who are 15mths and over.  These little swimmers will become familiar with skills such as, climbing in and out of the pool and being submersed under the water.  It is expected that each child is accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Class size = 8

Central to our Aqua Bubs and Aqua Tots program is the belief that all children come into this world with a passion for relationships, activity, exploration and discovery. As aquatic educators our role is to facilitate the development of each child’s unique skills. We provide opportunities that enable each child to reach his/her full potential in swimming.  In order for babies and toddlers to grow and develop to their full potential they need to develop trust in themselves and others.  Our staff at C-Me Swim are committed to meeting the needs of all students through building responsive and caring relationships.

AQUA TOTS OBJECTIVES

Children need to demonstrate (on more than one occasion) the following criteria to successfully move into the Transition Tots Class.

HOW TO HELP YOUR BABY LOVE HIS/HER SWIMMING EXPERIENCE

ROUTINE

At C-Me Swim our baby and toddler lessons are purposefully designed to best suit the learning needs of our youngest swimmers. Although the lessons may appear “repetitious” to us as adults, remember your child learns best through routine.  Be consistent each week, turn up on time and practice again at home if you can.

SWIM NAPPIES

It is a health requirement that all children who are not toilet trained wear a “swim nappy” during swim lessons. Disposable swim nappes are available for purchase from the kiosk.

T-SHIRT

One of the first safety skills your baby will learn is to pull themselves up out of the pool. To assist with  learning this skill we request that all parents wear a t-shirt over their bathers in the pool.

SMILES AND ENCOURAGEMENT

Learn to swim lessons with your baby is a wonderful rewarding and bonding experience.  They’ll continually need your love, support, smiles, cheering and encouragement throughout every lesson.
